Kerrygold Butter: pure golden sunshine in a block…just ignore those slices of toxic gluten on the side (blasphemy!!)
Today my son discovered that he LOVES Kerrygold Butter.
The rain started shortly after we got home from Schooner Days, so we baked a loaf of Paleo Banana Bread for a yummy afternoon snack. After some back and forth, I convinced him to try a bit of Kerrygold Butter on a slice. He cautiously sampled it and then smiled with big eyes, asking for more. I sliced off a slab big enough to cover the entire piece of banana bread and he ate it like cake with frosting. Gobbled it up so fast I didn’t get a photo!
It’s like BUTTAH!
Holy Moly, did we get some RAIN last night and today!! Complete with Flash Flood and Tornado watches. Rainy days are the perfect opportunity to spend time in the kitchen.
Beef bone broth, mushrooms & onions with banana bread baking in the oven and a tray of “Caveman Crack” chillin’ in the fridge.
I generally avoid Paleo baked goods and similar treats due to the added sweeteners and the inflammation and habits they incite. The “sweets” in our home consist primarily of whole fruits (both fresh and dried), an occasional bit of LoveBean Fudge and honey in our tea.
This recipe changed that.
Moist and tasty, just like regular banana bread – but without any grains OR added sweeteners! I’ve made it twice now, the second time adding some raisins for good measure.
My family loves this so much I just had to let George know via Facebook that his creation was a huge hit:
“Holy wow, George! Abel was right – this is the best (Paleo) banana bread EVER!!
So glad I still have a use for my mixer besides making coconut milk ice cream.
Made a loaf today and between me, my husband and son – it’s GONE! LOL :D”
