This product is a godsend for people with kids! (or seniors, or forgetful adults…)
I have been using Mabel’s Labels for about 5 years now and love them. The Tag Mates stay on through the laundry, the Skinny Minis stay on through the dishwasher – for YEARS.
I have Laptop Lunch kits that are 7 years old and the labels have been on them for 2-5 years.
The material resembles the stickers used on license plates for car registration (tabs).
They stick to non-porous surfaces and synthetic fabrics and stay put. UV safe too.
Products include name labels for just about anything including clothing and shoes, sports equipment, travel bags, household (organizing) containers, allergy, safety wristbands, holiday and stationery. Whew! That’s quite a list!
If you have someone in the family that tends to lose stuff, check these out!
Look what I found at the Mall of America: All things BACON!
Bacon beans, soap, bandages, frosting, soda, gumballs, toothpicks, gummy candy, hard candy, lollipops, tee shirts and more! It’s bacon overload for sure.
Oh, the things one finds at the Mall of America…
And women & shoes?!
This birthday card and sign were sent to me by my sister-in-law, who has a serious shoe addiction. She recently purchased the same shoe in six different colors! She has this great rule: if they cost < $50, they “don’t count”. LOL

I should set up one of those photo shoots where the cat has a sign that says:
“I am a rose eater and I am unstoppable. That is all.”
Well, maybe that should say “flower eater” as they go for any living plant matter in a vase.
“Lilacs? meh. Gimme the good stuff.”
“Now THIS is more like it…”
“Psst!! Leave my flowers alone! ~Yes, YOU!”

Oy Weh… What to do?
Please consider joining us for this event in three weeks!
It benefits about 40 children’s charities in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area. My husband and I attended last year and had a wonderful time interacting with former NFL players and fans, raising lots of money for kids at-risk and in need. Ticket costs are tax-deductible and the money goes to a very worthy cause in our community!
On a personal (Paleo) note, I tried on my dress I wore last year to this event and discovered it is much too BIG to wear again! I’ve had that black stretch velveteen dress for about 15 years and have been able to wear it many times, through many sizes. Well, no more. Thanks to the Paleo lifestyle, I am healthier, more fit and SMALLER than I have been in 15 years!
Holy wow. It’s still so surreal – I never thought I could feel this good again. 🙂
(Cue music…) On the second day of Christmas… Five Fingers shoes…
Christmas came early today! The mailman delivered my eagerly-awaited Vibram Five Fingers barefoot shoes. Yeah!
I was incredibly lucky to win a contest prize from Mark’s Daily Apple (Thanks Mark and Team!) and am now enjoying the “barefoot” comfort of these fun shoes. Once I figured out how to wiggle my toes into their respective pockets, I was good to go.
My kitty thought they were very nice, and showed her approval by rubbing her face all over them! LOL
Now if only we didn’t have a foot of snow on the ground already here in Minnesota…
Why barefoot? See Mark Sisson’s explanation here:
